Equipment has been arriving at the site this week in order to begin assembling the pontoons necessary to facilitate investigation of the tar lagoon itself, the next stage of works. Sections of the pontoons have been lifted into place, together with necessary safety equipment. The on-lagoon investigation work will complement the site investigation activities that took place in 2024 in areas to the north and south of the lagoon, enabling us to develop a full picture of the site and inform the remediation strategy.
