The work was a continuation of earlier activities to enable samples to be retrieved from areas to the north of the main lagoon. Some very targeted vegetation clearance has taken place in readiness for digging a small number of trial pits. Some vegetation clearance has also taken place along the bund embankments around the lagoon to aid future geotechnical assessments in this area.
